In searching for a job without coaching badge & Sunday League Experience, I was waiting to manage a club like A. Madrid B or something similar; for first time. Yeah, to grab my first coaching badge, perform well above expectations and who knows, maybe a jump to higher level than a B team. For my suprice, I have applied for FC Viktoria 1889 in 3rd Div. Germany. I thought; why not? Let’s hope. And BAM!
OMG! Professional club in 3rd. Div Germany without coaching badge and without speaking the language; no way mate. Board it’s already waste their time with me, but let’s see; probably “thank you, next”.
This is the most brave board I ever seen in my FM history. Usually, taking jobs in Vanarama England; not in 3. Liga Germany. This is going to be hard for me, because all my attributes is between 1–3, which means = handle players and motivating them is a big ask; with a relegation in your back to hunt you. So, #1 job is to save them; if we manage to save them, then I know the story!
In terms of how I am handling my players, is how I am treat people in real life. If you gonna act and play with logic, I will give you a new contract — no matter what. In my second match, a player come to me to ask for new contract out from nowhere. No, this player will not in my plan; even if it was my best option for Wing Back Right. Moan somewhere else, not in me; especially in my first week at the club. So, the Code of Conduct is something like this.
Some information of the club & league:
There is a tool in FM, which is my favorite tool and you don’t need any pre-game or in-game editor or 3rd party editor to check things inside the game. All the information is there, you need a little time to discover it. One of the them is “Comparison”. Squad > Analyst Report > Comparison. From this tool, it’s pretty clear what type of team you have; how you gonna improve it in next transfer or how to tweak your tactic. Below it’s FC Viktoria 1889:
It’s pretty clear to me that the squad need a total build from ground up to play in the way we want. Especially, Defending Dept. need a total overhaul; but we must save the relegation first and foremost with what we have.
So, let’s start rock-n-roll! In summary: Stay in the league, new contract for me; and second year we will fix nearly most of the problems (not all of them of course). The tactic which I am gonna use is my one during BETA and you can found it here. For training; I will start with my basic one from last year.
