I am always doing the same mistake, no matter what Football Manager version it is. Mistake: “Tweaking” in a huge amount and this time with tactic. Our aim was 10th, we finished below 10th place and that’s my fault.
I have failed and in somewhere else. Target was 30.000 euros per week, board allowed me 51.000 per week; but we have spend 39.000 euros per week. Club balance is not good and there is multiple reasons for that. Around -1.500.000 euros in debt with no income.
Both tactic and training management was not good and that’s the reason of that place. A lot of experimental and it’s time to stop that method.
The only solution to tackle the debt is one: Promotion to 2.Bundesliga, but we have 40 points gap. And for next season 40.000 euros per week.
From the other hand, we had some positive news. Youth Intake.
Note: 5 star potential means — calculated to current squad and it’s an opinion of my background staff. So, if I have a player with maximum 110 in PA; means that the 5* youth it’s around the same or better. Does not mean it’s 200 PA and the new Messi.
I will bring these young people to first team as impact sub and rotation; and leave my current back-up players as free agents (or sell if…). With these method, I will try to keep wage budget to minimum as much I can.
Next Season 2023/2024: Stabilize and no tweak further both tactic and training. Leave players in free (or sell). Promote players from Youth to reduce wage bill. Loan players with no cost from higher teams.
